Vision & Goals
I am committed to helping Elmhurst District 205 focus on academic excellence, because I believe every child in our community deserves the opportunity to learn and succeed.
I’m running for District 205 School Board, because I want a School Board that is responsive to its constituents, and serves the needs of all students, including those who have historically been left behind.
I will ensure that our schools stay focused on education strategies and curriculum that work and prepare our students to be thriving, successful citizens who are proud of their achievements and their country. I will promote academic achievement, and a robust, non-political education for our children by demanding transparency and accountability from the District 205 Board of Education, school administrators and teachers.

How?
I rolled up my sleeves and got to work.
I’ve spent countless hours researching District 205 curriculum and teaching pedagogy (how things are taught). I met individually with board members and administrators, and asked questions about curriculum, low academic proficiency, pandemic driven learning loss, and the plan for immediate improvement.
I formed a parent working group called Elmhurst Parents for Integrity in Curriculum (EPIC) to dig into the proficiency data, understand and assess K-12 learning trends, the equity gap, and how District 205 compares to similarly situated school districts.
I created a website and social media platform to share data, analysis, and commentary about District 205 academic proficiency.
I organized educational seminars and invited all parents and community stakeholders to participate.
I hosted a community symposium on Social-Emotional Learning, because many parents have questions about it, and the District wasn’t providing satisfactory answers.
If elected to represent our community, I will bring the same energy, enthusiasm, and commitment. I will demand the same excellence and accountability of myself as I will from every other board member, administrator, and teacher. I will commit to doing the hard work necessary to deliver academic excellence for all District 205 students.
